  Electro-Galvanized Steel Locking Mailbox
CONSTRUCTION of the Locking Mailbox housing is 14 gauge electro-galvanized steel, with twice the tensile strength of aluminum. The Electro-Galvanized steel Locking Mailbox measures 11.5” wide, 12” high x 20.5” long.
FEATURES
WELDED CONSTRUCTION. Strong electric resistance welds are on 2" spacing (maximum) in all structural areas for superior strength.
HEAVY GAUGE REINFORCED LOCKING DOOR. The housing and retrieval door assembly are fabricated from 14 gauge steel. The 90 degree ANGLE FORMED TOP EDGE of the housing provides maximum rigidity, and increases the stiffness of the top front many fold, thereby resisting forced enlargement of the mail insertion opening.
INTERNALLY REINFORCED retrieval door resists deformation due to prying. The helps the sides and corners of the door resist bending outward from prying, and minimizes the chance of getting a better "toe hold" with the pry tool.
EXCLUSIVE WEDGE LOCK SYSTEM completes the "Prying Protection Package". The harder they pry, the tighter it holds. Forces are absorbed by the structure, not the lock itself!
TAPERED NOSE TUBULAR KEY LOCK minimizes the possibility of the lock from being "wrenched around" with locking pliers, and is highly resistant to picking.
CONTINUOUS STAINLESS STEEL HINGES for a long life of smooth operation. They're welded to the door and housing, making the doors an integral part of the mailbox structure.
Black Color
The photo on the right shows the configuration of the Belaire with the doors open. The outgoing mail compartment is not lockable, as the Postal Service does not allow the carrier to carry a key to an individual mailbox. The Carrier inserts the mail through the incoming mail slot at the top of the upper door opening. Mail is retrieved by the customer from the locked lower door.
