Variable Voltage Power SupplyThis is a variable voltage power supply with voltages selectable from 1.5 to 12 V DC. It plugs into a standard US 110/120V AC receptacle and provides manual control for all of our products. The connector plugs directly into most of our products with the exception of one's that use the supplied 2.1mm Coax Plug. Additional plugs are included so this power supply can be used for other applications as well. To determine how many units can be powered with one power supply. First you have to determine the milliamps of power required for the products you wish to power. This information is includes with each product description (bottom of specs). Calculate the milliamps and then note the appropriate power supply. If by chance the milliamps comes close to 300, you may want to use the 500mA power supply. It is not necessary but do not under power the units as the power supply may heat up and fail. Note: These types of power supplies do get warm in normal applications. However, be careful that the unit does not heat to an extreme as that may indicate a problem. Tech Note: This unit, when not under load, will read approximately 18V DC on a volt meter. This is a normal and expected reading no matter the voltage selected on the power supply. | ||
