YOUR CAR!!!HOW IT INSTALLS A 1/8 inch steel plate is mounted behind the license plate using existing holes leaving a small receiver (looks like a hitch receiver that protrudes about 1 1/2" inches) in front of the plate. By utilizing a trunk strap all outward torquing forces are converted into downward shear forces enabling the bracket to be mounted on the thinnest of sheet metals. New technology (US Patented) allows mounting the bracket without access thru the interior panel. Vehicles with the plate mounted on the plastic bumper skin will require the use of at least two of the supplied spacers and/or self tapping (drilling) screws to secure to the steel or composite structure behind the plastic.
